I always do so the day after Thanksgiving.... hurryhurryhurry! All too soon Epiphany will be here, and if the decorations aren't back down by then you have to live with them for another year (old cultural superstition).
I have started preparing for Christmas now itself! My plan is to refurbish all my room. Starting with the windows this week. Saw some great selection of window blinds at TBS gallery, I will surely get them installed. :)
As a professional interior designer, I have done holiday decorating from before Thanksgiving to after Christmas! Culturally, Americans are as eager to get the holiday up as they are to get it back down. Therefore, the second Thanksgiving is over (some not even), its done with that and on to the next. This is why you will also see their trees on the curb by December 27! However other cultures including European and Latin American do not set up for the holiday until 12 days or less before Christmas, well knowing that they will be keeping it up at least until the Epiphany (arrival of the Three Kings) which is usually around Jan. 12. So either way, you get your month of cozy warm feelings, you just have to decide if it is to follow the main stream market of in and out or for the true meaning, Christ in Christmas! www.jbiaonline.com
That depends on your capability and effort,Like if you take lots of time for decorating it and than you should start from today only and if you can do it fast and effective than you can do before an week of Christmas..
