Why do I constantly yawn?

I go to sleep at 9 pm every night and wake up at 6:30, and on weekends I sleep at 10 pm and wake up at 9am - 11am. So I think I sleep a good amount. I even yawn when Im not tired!

You yawn because of a lack of oxygen going to your brain, so I guess try taking deeper breaths?

You don't necessarily need to take deeper breaths. It could just be that you or your body is doing something that requires more oxygen than normal so you yawn to get more.

Well, technically, yawning is taking a deep breath, and so if you or your body is doing something that requires more oxygen, and you yawn to get it, you do have to take deeper breaths :p

When you feel like yawning, try to hold it in a bit. I think that if your body gets used to yawning less, then you won't need to anymore!

I am pretty sure it's a way of your body telling you it needs nutrients to work or it will shut down. Try working some more nutrients into your daily palate. (Of food)

Yawning is not an indication of sleep. From what i have heard, you yawn because your brain is not getting the oxygen it needs. By yawning, you take in more air than normal breathing and it 'refuels' the brain.
