here's the best way to have a relaxing evening and then go to sleep feeling cuddly and comfortable 1. take a nice hot shower 2. put on really soft and comfortable pajamas, soft socks, slippers, and a soft bathrobe 3. make yourself hot cocoa and take a couple of cookies on a plate 5. go to your room, turn on a nightlight that's bright enough to read with, and turn off your regular light 4. cuddle up with your cocoa, cookies, a book, and a blanket on your bed 5. sip your cocoa, munch your cookies, relax, and read your book! (just remember to brush your teeth after) 6. after about a half hour, turn off the night light, and go to sleep! you should be very tired and relaxed by now!
One thing that keeps me from sleeping is my brain going over things that are not settled. I keep a pad and pen next to my bed. I write down thoughts I find my brain repeating and then I find that my brain is less active. I can sleep once its out of my brain and on paper where I can think about it when I actually want to be awake.
