Nothing, they can say whatever they want, I took an oath to defend their rights the same as the rights of believers. But what does bug me is when they try to take away the rights of others, or demand for example that a WW1 Memorial in the form of a cross be taken down because it's on public property even though it's been there for generations and the soldiers it represents were believers and so ate the relatives who visit it. They seem to always be on offense, always trying to tear down the things they don't like. Trying to take away Manger scenes at Christmas, or school plays that mention God, even going after the Charlie Brown Christmas cartoon! Seriously? If you don't like it, don't watch it, but don't take away my kids' chance to see it.
Long ago when my Christian, bible-carrying-to-school sister went off to a leading university, took a class in Greek "in order to translate the Bible", and on the first day the (atheist) professor says, "Are any of you believers? because by the time you're finished with my class you will no longer believe in any religion!" Well, his teaching really swayed her thinking and she turned atheist. Today, fifty years later she says that on a bad day she's an atheist & on a good day she's agnostic. I sure didn't like that the professor made that opening announcement on the first day of class. Need I say more?
I wouldn't use the term annoy, as much as I would use the term intrigue. I find it intriguing how an atheist accepts that not all truths carry a burden of proof. I also find it interesting how an atheist struggles with religious faith, but accepts it elsewhere in life, namely science. I find it extremely fascinating how an atheist proclaims to be an atheist, but whose beliefs more closet align with that of agnostic. I also find it amusing how an atheist may have a since of enlightenment due to simply not believing. I also find it intriguing that an atheist makes such a bold claim, based on one religion. I would believe that such a claim would demand the insight from, at minimal, the major religion. I find it interesting how a 13, 25, 37, or even a 50 year old individual can claim to have such in depth knowledge of all religions as to dismiss them all. I also find it interesting how an atheist may not accept how religion and science can go hand in hand. Now, a couple of final comments. These statements are not attacks, this is why I chose not to use the word annoy, as it has a negative connotation; and i truly don't get annoyed at atheist. Life is to short for the hate, my beliefs say we should love each other despite our differences. I also don't wish to deny how those in the theist society do commit to these same intriguing ideologies. Finally, I consciously used the term an. I do not speak of all atheists, just to some of the arguments I have seen, that I find interesting. Thanks and God bless.
I really dont care what they say to me : but when they make fun & belittle my savior Jesus Christ ; my blood boils. I try to contain it but it is really hard. See ........ I'm a sinner saved by grace ..... Not perfect.
Wanting proof, yet when giving proof they blow it off,for instance Demonic Possession, exorcism,Angels and Demons,Spiritual gifts from the Holy spirit, ghost, testimony of people that have died and experienced hell and came back,or the remains of the Nephilim giants the bible talks about have been found all over the world, and being covered up by the government why ? just like aliens, and area 51,If the government could prove that God exist and could save millions of people why would they cover it up ? you need to look outside the box a little.
