Instead of taking nausea medicine, try ginger--you can drink ginger ale, nibble on crystallized (candied) ginger, or make a gingerroot tea by taking gingerroot from the produce section of the grocery store, cut a few slices about the size of a quarter, smash them with a saucepan and put about a tablespoonful into a saucepan with a quart of water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about 5 minutes. You can drink it hot, warm or cold, sweetened to taste or not at all. You can punch up the flavor with lemon juice. Ginger is as effective as most nausea meds, but is a lot safer, particularly in pregnancy.
