This may be weird, but each morning I set out 8 bottles a day and drink them throughout the day. If they get too warm, I'll go exchange it for a cooler one. I was also told by my urologist surgeon to buy the concentrated lemon juice that's in the plastic lemons in the veggie area if the store and squeeze 1 tablespoon of concentrated lemon juice into each bottle before drinking...I have problems with kidney stones but he said this is a good habit for anyone to do.
I hated water until the new single serve packets of sugar free instant powder came out, now I can't get enough. There are boxes of these single packets, they are located in the Kool-aide section. They are available in sugar free...find the flavor you like and you'll be drinking plenty of water in no time! Hi Sistergirl!
Water bottles are the trick, keep them cold and try to drink as much (8-12 ozs.) at one time as you can. Dont sip the water actually down the bottle or the cup, unless you are running or working out then sip every 10-15 minutes while working out..By the way if you drink a 8 ounce caffeinated beverage you will need to drink 8 ounces of plain water to counter act that to stay hydrated. .
Hi CeeJay! In this country down here at the bottom of the Earth, all the citizens wander about with a 400 ml clear plastic bottle with a single action seal on it filled with spring water. I am talking millions of spring water bottles every day! Most people at work or play have a "Pump" bottle at their side and folk take frequent small swigs to keep their whistle wet. Which is how we talk down under. SURELY by now the American promoters have latched on to this remarkable marketing phenomenon!!! It is all over Australia and New Zealand and I can't believe the Yanks have missed out on this booming market. Spring Water is everywhere - check in your Supermarket and see if it is there. If NOT - you have the immediate idea for a multi-million dollar business right there!!!
The easiest way to get your 8 C. a day is to use bottled water. Most bottled water is 16 oz or better. If you drink half a bottle every hr (u only need 4 bottles) you'll meet your daily hydration needs every time.I don't recommend adding anything to your water, simply because your kidneys will have to filter it.
Yes, make it the only thing you drink. Day, afternoon, night, Everyday. Water is the only thing i drink. If i drink anything else my stomach will start hurting, Water is the only thing i want to drink. Tip: get a cup, put cold water, get a straw. That's the way i drink my water sometimes. God Bless you.

water is so GOOD for digestion... walking makes you thirsty for IT... where as salty foods make you want something sweet... wine might be the nector of the Gods but water is the source of life. good luck!
Try Crystal Light--it's supposed to have all the benefits of water. It isn't caffeinated so you won't get more dehydrated. Try drinking water before meals which will get more down and make you less hungry.
The way I got used to drinking lots of water is by pouring myself a glass of water with ice every night before I went to bed, After a while It became a habit and now I can't go to sleep without water, also if you don't like the dull taste of water :P try putting a flavouring in :)

A pretty good tip I heard is to drink half your body weight in ounces each day. That's what you body needs to stay sufficiently hydrated and perform its normal functions. So if you weigh 130 lbs, then ideally you want to drink 75 ounces of water each day.
Those tall, skinny Starbucks tea bottles that cost $14 or so are pretty good to use. They hold about 18 oz. So a 130lb person would need to drink a little over 4 bottles a day to be sufficiently hydrated.
Once you get used to drinking lots of water, it gets easier. Then you feel weird not drinking enough.
thats easy if u live in a hot place spend lots of time out side on ur pourch or garden try and do some excirse bring a large jug of water outside with u pretty soon u will get thirsty drink about 1 litre of water an hour do this for 2 weeks and before you know it u will be drinking water none stop. I know this cause when i was in gage town for genral training (gage town is a army base ) it was really hot compred to my usal wether (sub 0 teptures) so i dranks lots of watter and when i got back home it was freezing out but i still was drinking lots of water
Keep water next to your bed, when you wake up you're always thirsty and you will drink that cup or bottle of water. Throughout the day, as you get tired or hungry for no reason, go chug water. Before you eat any meal, drink water for one long sip until you can no longer do it. Then eat your meal. You'll notice that that small portion you though wouldn't be enough, is now more than enough. Before you go to bed, drink at least 8oz of water. This will keep you from waking up with extreme dry mouth and will make your morning breath slightly more tolerable, although you should still brush your chompers when you wake up. Drinking 64+ ounces of water a day will make you feel a lot better in general.
