A chinchilla is a rodent native to the Andes Mountain. They are 1 foot long and are fantastic jumpers. they are able to jump at least 5 feet high. they are omnivores and they eat insects seeds fruits and berries the chinchilla is a natural prey to skunks cats dogs and hawks. they take dirt baths once a day to stay clean. if they take baths in water moisture will stay in their coats and cause fungi such as ring worms. hope that helps you with your science
