Nope, rest it for a while. Get a towel, wet it a bit (humid) and heat in the microwave or somehow for 1-2 minutes, then take it out and put around the muscle, repeat several times, and rest. This will relax the muscle and make recovery faster. It might be a bit too hot, its okay.
Elevating a pulled a muscle is a good idea to reduce the pain. This will also keep the blood from pooling at the injury which may lead to the swelling. You may also try passive stretching, take a warm bath and then take some aspirin.
