Why do you pull sneakers at slow speeds to test stopping friction?

To see if the sneakers will slide easily. They aren't good at stopping friction if they do.

slow=stooping so to propertly test the stop friction you would make an experiment that would simulate stopping therefore pulling the sneakers at a sloww speed
