Fireproof 2008--“In an attempt to save his marriage, A firefighter uses a 40-day experiment known as ‘The Love Dare’.” This movie is perfect for married couples, as it’s really geared to show the Biblical aspect of a true marriage. That said, it’s also great for anyone else who is looking forward to getting married one day! I really enjoyed the whole story and have seen this movie more than once. It deserves to be at the top of the list!
You prefer the space of memory contain a particular vintage softness--grayscale shadows sliding along the walls, illuminating faces of those who would sacrifice anything to cradle you infinitely; perhaps cups of hot cocoa in hand, while the world gradually softens with the appearance of feathery white outside the window. (Hush, now, we must all take a breath.) You want this memory and you want to remember your own brain storage as that of pleasantry, not have to peel back cobwebs and the ashy grime in the corners that sticks on your fingers, makes a stench of your life. Oh, the gossamer illusion of memory in balance, that which stacks neatly as bricks, reminds you that life is a gift--La vita ? dolce. But instead your father couldn't make the movie, and your mother's eyes roamed the room, got stuck on a door that didn't open until four am, with her stomach in her throat, and his eyes blood-shot, evading sorry's and silent accusations, nihilism in balance with recklessness.
