What does "those to which a state is a party" mean?
I'm learning about the Supreme court, and I have a question on my homework that says "What cases does the Supreme Court have exclusive jurisdiction over?". I know that it's either "a case involving 2 states", or "cases involving citizens from two different states", but I wasn't sure the of the exact translation of the first answer. Could somebody help me out with the understanding of this statement? Thanks
