You have poor reference, sorry. The Bible is a book on how to go to heaven, not about how the heavens go. It's not a science textbook. And if you need to know where Napoleon was born, it would be of little help too. I could think of better sources than Wikipedia, but at least it would give you mostly reasonable answers!
Yes I agree the Bible is the be all and end all of all books etc. However it still needs to be proven to those sincerely asking questions needing corroborating evidence and scientific, archaeological, historical support for those who don't accept the bible by itself or on its own. Being able to confirm the bible accurately with supporting proof is a lot easier to digest than simply saying it's true. For some truth has to be proven and explained as many lack faith. But in the end yes I agree the bible is the final statement.
I find my copy of the bible very helpful! It makes a comfortable cushion for hard footrests or tables, great kindling for making warm and toasty fires, and if I need a good laugh, all I have to do is crack it open and read a few verses!
