A person's own religion is all that matters to that person. They believe their religion is the only one true religion. It is the proper way. A person can't believe in 2 different religions at the same time. Don't work like that.
The bible describes this sort of behavior as part of a sign of the last days. 2Timothy 3:1-2, 4,5: "But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self assuming...betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of Godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away." Unfortunately this is a huge issue today. Some who claim to be lovers of God truly love material things, there are some who claim to be devoted to God but dont live by His standards. Then there are some who have a zeal for God but not according to accurate knowledge, so because of not knowing the righteousness of God, but seeking to establish their own, they didnt subject themselves to the righteousness of God (Romans 10:2,3). Organized religion is supported in Gods word the bible at Hebrews 10:24,25: "let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together...". The bible also gives some characteristics you can look for to determine the religion that is following Gods word. (1) What are its teachings based on? Mark 7:7 (2) Is this religion making known the name of God? John 17:6 (Jehovahs name: Psalms 83:18) ;(3) Is true faith in Jesus being shown? John 3:36. (4) Is it largely ritualistic or is it a way of life? (Isaiah 1:15-17. (5) Do the members really love each other? John 13:35. (6) Is the religion seprate from the rest of the world in its ways? John 15:9. Are its members actively witnessing about Gods kingdom? Matthew 24:14. Armed with these identifying marks of religion acceptable to God, you will be able to find the religion that leads to everlasting life. Also you may visit www.jw.org.
2Timothy 3:1-5 "You May as well know this too, Timothy, that in the last days it is going to be very difficult to be a Christian. For people will love only themselves and their money; they will Be proud and boastful, sneering at God, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful to them, and thoroughly bad. They will be hardheaded and never give in to others; they will be constant liars and troublemakers and will think nothing of immorality. They will be rough and cruel, and sneer at those who try to be good. They will betray their friends; they will be hotheaded, puffed up with pride, and prefer good times to worshiping God. They will go to church, yes, but they won't really believe anything they hear. Don't be taken in by people like this."
