We all have accents. We just don't recognize it 'til we're out of our normal territory. I'm from MN. At a restaurant in the very Deep South I was asked, "Where ya'll from?" I answered, "MN." My questioner replied, "I thought so. You sound just like Garrison Keillor!"

I have several. For instance, I can speak with an Australian accent, a Russian accent, a French accent, two Southern accents (South and Deep South), a German accent and a Black accent (Funkmaster Supreme), just to name a few.
Most would say that I don't have any accent at all - however every once in a while I'll say something and the person I'm with will say: Oh My God, you're from New York - true, true but I have to say that the only accent that really turns me on is British
