Wedding ring question for married ladies?

Do you wear your engagement ring before your wedding ring or vice versa? Is there a traditional way of order or just a personal choice?

The traditional way is to have the wedding band on first then the engagement on top of that.. this keeps you wedding band closest to you heart :)

that's good logic :) someone else had told me they keep their engagement ring on first since they choose to keep it on during the ceremony .. I was thinking about putting my engagement ring on my right hand during the wedding then putting it on top of the wedding ring the next day :)

Putting the engagement ring on the right hand during the ceremony is how most people do it.. and you can move it back over on top of your wedding band right after, before the reception if you like.. no need to wait :)

I've never heard of wearing it on the right hand during the ceremony. Also if your ring fits correctly it shouldn't even fit on your right hand.

IDK I have had several friends who did this, the ring was a bit tight but fit, but who knows, maybe my friends are just weird ;)

Maybe so! Lol just kidding! You always have great answers. I've just never heard of that. My wedding planner said leave it on the left and switch them later.

You can switch it after the ceremony. I've never heard of anyone wearing it on their right hand during their ceremony.

i have relatively tiny fingers so i guess i'm lucky.. but thanks for your answer :)

That's still not the way to wear it. And one hand ( usually the right) is always bigger. That's biology. It's not a reference to big or small fingers.

The hand you write with is usually the bigger hand so if a left handed put it on their right hand during the ceremony , which is what I've seen, that would work even better. But yes the engagement ring is put on the right hand during the wedding.
