Why does my belly button ring have a bump that bleeds ?

You say it is bleeding and pus coming out. It is infected. See your Dr so he can prescribe the correct medication. Mean time get medical hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball, squeeze the solution let it bubble and then use a clean cotton ball to wipe off. Put some triple antibiotic ointment on it cover it so no more foreign bacteria enters. Very Important it is not contraindicated to use the peroxide on any wound more than 2 times, reason is that the peroxide weakens the good tissue and your infection could get worse. This was the latest information on wound and skin care seminar. You still should see your Dr.

It's infected.
Keep in mind that pus means infection. See a doctor fit antibiotics. In the mean time clean it with peroxide.

Another possibility: You might be allergic to that type of metal. Treat with peroxide and then alcohol, if the infection doesn't improve try a purer metal like gold or stainless steel.

Ok, so this just started and you haven't changed ring. You still need to use the hydrogen peroxide and alcohol, asap. It will combat the infection from the outside in. I'm sorry to say but at some point you may need to take it out and concentrate on the infection, but this just started, so you've got lots of wiggle room. You need to do this at the very least. Hope this helps.

No DO NOT use alcohol on your piercings ever, puss does not always mean there is an infection, smelly puss does however. Just keep washing your belly with clear antibacterial liquid soap try not to touch it unless you are cleaning it and avoid rotating it too much. Wash three times a day until you notice the red inflammation goin away then resume to 2 times, just be sure you are completely rinsing the soap off of the jewelry. If it doesn't clear up in about a week go to the doctor because it can get serious quickly in your belly

Why not use alcohol? Doctors use it to sterilize, it also acts as a drying agent. Just curious.

Alcohol will dry new piercings out, which causes the healing time to be drawn out much longer, plus it may cause the skin around the piercing to start to peel away which can alter the piercing. After it's healed using alcohol is ok but still not recommended, soap is the best bet
