I have been hearing about a lot of my friends having dreams. I believe it's a sign and a wake up call for the Church. What do you think?

I think that people dream all the time. It's part of being human.

What the heck does that mean? Do you fantasize your someone special among believers? That would explain a lot about your attitude.

Maybe because they think something is going to happen in December and they are thinking about that or hearing a lot about it.

We have needed to be prepared at all times since Jesus preached the parable of the virgins. There is nothing different about a Christian's need to be prepared than there has been for the past two thousand years.
We need to be prepared always, not wait until some guy's fantasy about dreams.

Dreams are random images formed by everything youve seen or felt randomly throughout your life even if you dont remember them, your brain does.
No meaning, random, and not a sign.

You are the one that decides whether to give them some spiritual or emotional meaning.
But they are just random lol

It depends on what kind of Dreams they are having, If it's random and wierd than don't worry about it, but If they keep having the same dreams then I'd check into that...it's possible that it could be far more than a coincidence.

it could be God showing them something thru dreams. i wouldn't discount that option. or maybe they all discuss the same things and because of that discussion they dream it too.

Also there is a scripture in Joel that lines up with this one.

Acts 2:17

17 ?And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.

I think looking for signs is the worse form of vanity, thinking we have the ability to know God's mind more than our our other brothers and sisters in Christ.
I think that someone thinking they are actual seeing signs is indicative of a real need for that person to learn the truly important trait of being humble, and not prideful.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16

9 But as it is written:

Getting personal revelation is the gift of the Holy Spirit open to all Christians. That's not what this guy is claiming. He's claiming to have had seem signs for the whole church. In effect he is proclaiming himself a prophet.

Here's what one friend said.

A dream I had last night

I dreamed that my husband and I was standing in my house, when he got a phone call. It was his sister, and she was hysteric. She was screaming for him to look outside. He hung up and we both walked out...and he started panicking, I looked at him and said,"Babe, The time is at hand. He just cried...I said, "Babe lets pray" We both went to our knees praying. In my dream, You had that feeling that something was about to happen! The large fire meteor was about to clip the earth, It was huge enough to either end the world or most of it. I just knew We would not survive it, it was on Americas path. The weather was windy and stormy. it was very hot and humid like an oven. I just kept saying."The time is at hand."

I woke up and thought for it to be upon us, we have slumbered...People are just not watching, or taking it serious!

This was from another person. Either one of these friend know one another.

hey I had a dream aong time ago, I dreamed that I was climbing a mountain, and it was so treacherous, and rocky. when I stopped and looked out over the scenery, i saw 7 tornadoes and they were all different colors, behind me were my grandmother and grandfather and other family members, then i looked behind farther and seen a multitude of people all the way down the mountain. it was so awesome been about three maybe four years ago

God hasn't changed. Scripture mentions God giving dreams to people. And, He still does today. The dreams He gives will accurately fit with scripture if they are from God. And, I do believe that God gives dreams of warning also. If these dreams are from God that your friends are having, scripture will support the dream if they search it out to see.

The dream i had last night was.i held my pregnant cat up I'n the air to my face and said what a cut kitty kitty and she delivered a huge cat as big as a dog and it fell out on to the bed the end of dream. The next one was about the mail man he was delivering the mail and me and my husband were out side and he egnored us and kept delivering the mail .the end
