Is it possible for you to have a friend atheist or gay ?

Obviously, if someone is atheist or gay does that mean they dont have friends?
Being athiest or gay doesnt make them less human, or stupid, or antisocial, or mute people who cant speak.

Well, several of my friends are atheists. And my other friend is gay. So yes...

i already have an atheist friend, and i have gay friends, and i have gay friends that are atheists. and i am Muslim if that means anything

Exactly, as long as they are good people, and awsome to hang around with people can be your friends, right?
Race or religion shouldnt be what decides who one hangs around with.
When i make friends i ask what they like, what they do, and just speak, i dont ask their religion or care for the race.

i am same way, i made a muslim friend, yet both of us didnt no that we were muslim. we found out later on when we went to a a fair type thing, and they had food, and both of us declined because of the pork, and he said it goes against his religion, and im like your muslim also, and he is like also? you are too. and that was a fun convo, lol. but before that i didnt know, and he didnt either.

but i did have one friend, who was Jehovah witness and she un- invited me to her bday party unless i converted. i didnt no how to respond, i was so surprised, lol.

Glad to read some reasonable intelligent answers. I am more of an Agnostic, am Straight and have plenty of Gay friends( male&female), Sexual orientation/lifestyle has litle to do with core of person, no more than Religious beliefs make one different or better than another!( unless it gets into realm of Fanatacism of course but that's a WHOLE diff. topic.)

I am an atheist. I have Christian friends. I have one really good friend I hang out with a lot that is a Pagan. I also have friends who are believers and most of my family is Christian. I do have gay friends. One of my friends, you can't help but love her, is a bisexual. And I have plenty of other bisexual friends. I don't see why it wouldn't be possible at all. I mean, they aren't another species. We don't argue; we simply get along without those other things interfering in our lives. Friends are meant to spend time with enjoy; not have the same belief system or sexual orientation.
