If god told you to kill someone you love, would you?

No, people who kill because they said God told them to are "Looney Tunes". And they have been legions of them.

God tested Abraham knowing full well that Abraham knew in His heart that God would've allowed him to proceed though it. The purpose of the test was to prove that Abraham Loved God more than his own son. It's a perfect representation of God with His Son Jesus. God so Loved the World that He give His only begotten Son, that who so ever believe upon Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that though Him they might be Saved. Because Abraham trusted God it was counted unto him as Righteousness..

Normally I just stay out of it... but James... please explain to me how Abraham "knew in his heart that God would not have allowed him to proceed through with it".

Had asked Abraham to kill his son and Abraham had life in hand when God stopped him, praised him for his faith and provided a lamp to sacrifice instead. It would be a hard decision but, I'd have to just trust Hod and do what he told me! It sounds super cruel but God knows better than us.

God speaks to us through His word and the Holy Spirit. They will never conflict and Jesus says love your neighbor as yourself.

Absolutely not. That notion is sick and twisted and I find incredibly... saddening that the story of Abraham is a staple of the "love" that is shown in the bible.
