Was a Christmas Carol a hard read in 7th grade?

answer no and reasons why

Report as

It depends on who you are. To the ones who can't read well, yes I'm sure it was. To the ones who can read well, it probably wasn't. It also depends on your teacher. Did your teacher go over the book well? If so, then I would have to say no, not really. This is the beginning of my eight-grade year and I'm reading it. I just got done with stave 2 like an hour ago. Some parts are difficult, so to the less advanced, yes I'm sure it is a hard book to read.

No, but I read it in 5th grade. By 7th grade I was reading at a college sophomore level.

Kindergarten = 5th grade level for me. There wasn't anything back then to accommodate. Different problem. And then as a teacher I became aware of all of the different people with individual needs.

LBot: If you are finding it difficult, demand the help you need. You deserve to love this beautiful piece of literature.

No, because it can be read on so many different levels. A 7th grader should be able to read it for the plot. BTW, I'm a retired HS English teacher.
