Either bright yellow, or if you want something you can also wear to the pub one with lots of reflective material on it. e.g. I've heard that the Altura Night Vision jacket is pretty good - it's black, so looks pretty 'normal', but has lots of reflective sections so lights up very well in car headlights.
They do make jackets with reflective material, and I would recommend one of those, because mostly, you are going to be worried about not being seen by a car, and if their lights are shining on your reflective jacket, they shouldn't have any excuse. As far as color goes, sigh, avoid dark colors and you should be fine (especially with your fancy lights and reflective clothing).
Back on the light topic, if you want to get fancy, this is kind of fun, and you'll get compliments as well as be easily seen (my boyfriend had one on his bike for awhile): http://rockthebike.com/lights/downlowglow
I use chrome jacket for my everyday bike commute. Although they tend to be dark or black, all of them has a flap that you can use at night as it reflects light well. I also find chrome to be really comfortable and you can use it on and off the bike.
Best of all, it's made right here in the Bay Area (Oakland).
