I have herd of that saying and the answer is maybe bc peace comes from hippies and they are non-Christians so some people might think that the hippies came up with the peace sign to resemble a broken cross for all the sorrow that God has given them. but it all depends on they way u look at it
the meaning for the Hebrew letter for V (Van) is 'Nail.' Now, 'The Nail' is one of the secret titles of Satan within the Brotherhood of Satanism. Satan is letting us know that this is one of his favourite signs. Why else does he like the PENTA-gram (Penta = five!) and the FIVE-fold salute used in Masonry and Witchcraft?''
It is not a 'peace sign', it is the logo for British organization CND, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. The logo represents the letters, N,D, in semaphore -- the slogan is 'Ban the Bomb'. It was designed by artist, Gerald Holtom in 1958. The symbol was adopted in the 1960s by hippies as a symbol for peace, but it has nothing to do with Christianity... which is probably why a Christian wing of CND was formed.
