If I have to pay rent in my parents house and I'm only 18 should I keep doing things that they tell me to do?

should I obey the curfew drive my sibilings, not get a tattoo when I want one, listen to them when I have to do chores

Yes unless you move out. Remember who's house it is

I would think you'd be expected to do less. It would all depend on your parents. As soon as you get a chance, you should move out and get a place of your own

you should probably listen to your parents and do what they tell you but paying rent is a little much. its your choice really but you should talk to them about what YOU want to do rather than what your parents want, try negotiating with them

Their house their rules. You don't HAVE TO listen. You can simply move out.

Well, guess that is one way to prepare you for the future and push you out of the nest too. If you're 18 then you need to consider your own place. Then the rules will be all yours. I am a parent and when my son stays at my house, it is my rules. You did not mention if you are still a student? If you are, then I would stay home and finish school and follow the rules. After graduation, move out on your own or get a room mate that you can compromise with.
