I'm not getting married for a while but I'd assume a year or so after?? Gotta make sure we're happy together and financially stable before we have kids. Then again, I'm kinda reckless so I don't actually know what I'd do. I'd like to think that I would take my time on making such an important decision as that though.
Since marriage takes a lot of work, it would be best to wait a few years, to build the strength in your marriage. Having a vehicle that will be safe for the child and family, plus having enough money - work - that when you're off or decide to stay home, you can afford it.
When I was younger I said almost immediately granted we had supportable funds for a family, but after 5 years of full-time nannying my views have changed quite a bit :) I definitely want children but with my job I've realized how difficult and life-changing it really is. When I get married I want my husband and I to have a few years enjoying each other's company before adding anyone else to take up all the attention, time, and cash!
