Should He? No. Do His followers claim He does? Yes. Does it matter what a nonexistent entity "thinks" when those who follow Him do whatever they want in His name with no ramifications? I don't think so.
Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. (Genesis 9:6 KJV)===============================And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. (Deuteronomy 19:21 KJV)==============according to these scriptures yes.===============================?Now suppose two men are fighting, and in the process they accidentally strike a pregnant woman so she gives birth prematurely. If no further injury results, the man who struck the woman must pay the amount of compensation the woman?s husband demands and the judges approve. But if there is further injury, the punishment must match the injury: a life for a life, (Exodus 21:22, 23 NLT)===============================Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. The authorities are God?s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God?s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience. (Romans 13:1-5 NLT)
38 You have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
43 You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you Do not even the tax collectors do the same 47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others Do not even the tax collectors do so 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
The old testament god was having people stoned to death for lots of stuff. And Jesus said he had not come to change the law. In fact he admonished the Pharisees for not stoning unruly children to death. So I would say he loves a good execution... he even had his son crucified. Certainly in the long history of Christianity this has been the prevalent view within the church and they have executed a whole load of people burning heretics and drowning Jews and putting whole towns full of muslims to the sword. This whole time, god hasn't raised any objections.
