Yes. All citizens of the United States should have equal rights under the law. Disallowing one sector of the population from participating in the rights another group enjoys simply due to sexual orientation is discrimination, plain and simple. It's no different than the issue of interracial marriage that was raised in the sixties.

I'm sort of neutral on it. Do I believe people should be able to make their own decisions concerning their love life? Absolutely. But it is against my religion, but it is them doing it, not me. So idk, I guess I'm a fence-sitter on this one...

I have read the bible and it is a sin but on the other hand people have different point of views so I agree it should be ok no offense to god

Life, liberty and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS. Right? No word in our constitution about " unless otherwise prohibited by religious doctrine".

God does not support gay marriage, why should man support it, are you saying we are better than God.

America was built on the idea of seperation of church and state as well as freedom. God should not be involved in a political matter, especially when it hinders the freedoms of Americans, and should be kept inside the church.

America was NOT built on separation of church and state, it was built on christian morals. Do you have any idea what the motto of the United States is? Truth be known not many remember. Our motto of these Christian United States of America is
"IN GOD WE TRUST". To quote a 60's saying " America love it or leave it."

By the way God created marriage not man.

It actually was not. Majority of the founding fathers including thomas jefferson, ben franklin, george washington, thomas paine, james madison and john addams all either didnt believe in christian morals and or we atheist.

God is not mentioned once in the us constitution. It is mentioned in the declaration of independence but that isnt what we use to govern laws

The phrase "in god we trust" wasnt added until 1863. This was during the civil wat. That was on the coin. Later added to the dollar bill in 1957. The words "under god" in the pledge wasnt added until 1954 by congress. This was to fight communism.

Article six in the us constitution actually specifies that church and state are seperated.

Article eleven of the treaty of tripoli states "the government of the united states of america is not, in any sense, founded on the christian religion"

Dont believe me? Look it up.

God's existence is a subjective opinion with no evidence to support it. If you would like to debate that i will gladly site numerous articles and facts supporting it.

You say "God created marriage, not man"?
If that's true, then man has certainly altered the original quite a bit.
It's almost in recognizable now from marriage laws in the Old Testament.
So, it seems to me that man is making up new marriage "forms" as we go along, but we still want God to sanctify the vows we make in a ceremony.
The sanctity is what is important, isn't it? -- not the changing forms.

Edit: recognizable mistyped. Should be unrecognizable.

Sure why not? If a man can feel the same way about a man as i do about a woman then how can I object? Not everyone follows a religion which condemns homosexuality and our country is not formed on christian values, george washington said this. We are free to believe what we want, get used to it because thats never going to change. Its a free country, christians dont get to take over and make the bibles laws into theirs, just the same as hindus cant do that. Hey christians how would you feel if that happened? Dont opress your fellow americans and the message of your founding fathers by shoving your religion down their throats when they dont even want it!

America was built on the foundations of freedom.

Absolutely. Legally and spiritually.
All lovers should be allowed to legally join their lives, as well as have their union vows blessed, if they choose.

Well, we can all just wait for the Supreme Court to rule on it. I support it by the way.
