What should I do about this guy and why did he do this

So I made a post on craiglists one day when I was really bored about a guy that I USED to like and be crazy about. I said "I still dream about you and I want so much to kiss you." It wasn't true but I NEVER thought he'd read it. We used to hang out at the University Library everyday but he has since graduated. The next day, he comes to the library to look for me and I had not seen or spoken to this guy in about 6 months so I knew he was going for me. He created a new facebook profile so that he could add me as a friend (doesn't have my facebook I.D. but I didn't add him) and then we got into a misunderstanding and he posts on facebook about how angry he is at me. I made a post on craiglists apologizing to him and then he responds telling me he wants to see me at the library to tell me how much he loves me. After that he made a post about me on craiglists every single day listing either my initials or my first or last name.

Today he made a post online talking about how he was at the central library today in my city (we used to meet there EVERY SINGLE DAY) and bumped into a cute blond girl. He's doing it on purpose but why?

Why? Because you posted a stupid leading message that he read. And now you are surprised how he responded? Obviously you put something pretty specific in the post for him to realize that it was HIM. Why did you do that? The internet is not only a good place to find information, it is a GREAT place to put information that is harmful to you (that others can exploit) STOP putting personal information on the web....... everyone.

Ok. I admit I only skimmed through the novel you wrote. Here's where you went wrong in my opinion. YOU POSTED THINGS ON CRAIGSLIST. Seriously. Is that the way you communicate. I get the "I saw you" thing, but if your both there all the time, why wouldn't you just talk to him.

Yeah I doubt it. If you lead someone on though something weird is bound to happen. You either have to be straight with him and say I am really happy you found that blonde or go through with your original post and kiss him and you two can live happily ever after. Either way he will get the hint I am sure.

It seems to me like he wants "revenge." You said you loved him and wanted to kiss him and all, and now he is talking about girls there probably just to get revenge. It is kind of mean that you got his hopes up. I don't like "revenge" though.

I am trying to figure out how I should let him know that I want to date him and what ground rules I should set for our relationship. Like I was thinking one rule was that he'd never be allowed to come to my house and I'd never be allowed to come to his etc... still thinking about this.

You bible chapter. Have you tried actually walking up to him and trying this crazy thing like talking to him. I know its not texting or Internet conversations, so its a bit scary. Talking actually works. People exchange words. Things get said. It works.

Usually, when a guy seems to be flirting with someone else on purpose, you should confront him about it. If you really only USED to like him, then tell him. But if you think he was being sincere and really want to see him again, meet him at the library.

Sounds like a creeper. I think he might be seriously attracted to you. People do weird things because of that pesky emotion. Maybe he realized he was being a stalker and decided to prove he was over you? Unless the 'cute blond girl' is YOU, which means that he is pretending to be your bf. Which is even stranger. The brain is a strange thing. Did you meet him at the library after he asked you to?
