Friends car is up for repossession.

From what he has mentioned to me today, he's car is up for repossession. He mentioned it was due to late charges (owes about $2,500 in late charges). He isn't behind payments, just sends them a few days late due to his pay schedule. Wanted to find out what would be his best solution. Only has about 2 years left and the finance company didn't gave him much options. Either he pays the $2500 or return the car back. What would be his best solution?

His best bet is to pay the $2500, unless he can make other arrangements with the bank.

I wanna say its a 2007-08 Mazda rx 8. He is the only owner of the vehicle
