Why do we need trees to breath

Breathe*? They breathe in the carbon dioxide humans and animals produce, and in turn release oxygen into the atmosphere.

Trees and all animals are part of something called the Kreb Cycle. We produce CO2 and the trees produce O2 via photosynthesis. If you destroy too many trees, the system is no longer in balance.
