Why do people go goth?

it's just clothing and an attitude. they're still people, they just chose to be different.

because they are drawn to the dark side of themselves and they feel atracted to that. Is just a way of living for them. They like the music, the dark clothes, etc. Only because you are goth (and this might be contradicting) doesn't mean that you are not happy or a nice person.

There's also the "white goth" look ... same attitude/message, but lighter clothing.

Because they want to rebel against normalcy so they go and do what everybody else is doing.
