Off the computer. Read once, rest, read again and dont pass to the next subject until you understand what you read, rest, read again outloud. No music, no tv, no computer, no texting. Read read read, understand and relax.
I like to organize the discussion items of the topic into groups of 3 or 5 (if at all possible) so you have a distinct first, middle, and last. That way, when you are trying to remember at test time if you are missing something, then you know if it is the first, the middle, or the last or one of the items in between is the missing item.
"- I only have 4 answers, but I know there are 5. Which one is missing? If I put them in order... AH HA! That one."
