I emailed my resume and was called in to interview. I thought it went well.Three wks later I found out I didn't get the job. .

do I have the right to ask questions as to why I wasn't hired?

absolutely you can ask saying so you know what to do in the future but if you think it went well there was probably just a better candidate

You can ask, but they probably will tell you the hire was a "better fit" or some other non-committal answer.
