My PS3 has immense difficulty downloading anything...

Whenever I try to download on my PS3, the "Minutes Remaining" will go up to an insane amount, but eventually settle into a spot. However, even if it is downloading, the timer NEVER GOES DOWN! It will sometimes go up a minute, but never down. I've had to attempt downloading things multiple times before it will actually do it. My connection strength is at 100%, I have 99 GBs left on my hard drive... What the heck is the problem and how do I fix it?

Try deleting all your messages it speeds everything up

It did help. I deleted data from older games that I hardly ever play and the overabundance of pics I had on there as well. Thanks a ton. Sadly, it still hasn't exactly loaded... For some reason the game data was corrupt and now I have to download all over again. x_x

I just decided to let it load while I'm at school, hopefully when I get home everything will be hunkey dorey.
