yes, is very sad. It happened to me when I was working a lot of hours and I hated my job and my co-workers. I remember waking up. Going to work for 9 hours. eating after work, watch tv, and go to sleep. I gained a lot of weight too. It got me very depresed. That lasted for 3 years. My cousin's death made me realize that I was wasting my life away. I quit my job and I went to europe for a week. Then when I got back I had a hard time finding another job, but I was super happy that I wasn't working for that company anymore. (tip of advice: next time I will find a job before I actually quit. Currently I love my job and my boss and I have friends and a person whom I love very very much)
Yes....I did for a while when my best friend died. He was like my only friend because I'm super weird, but then like two years ago...weird became the new cool...So, yeah...I'm a trend setter. But on a more serious note, Yes...I think someone could live without friends. PAssion is a strong thing for some people. Like a passion for music could fill up someone's life to where they don't need friends. I don't think it's good to not have friend because no matter what, someone is out there looking for exactly what you have to offer.
depends what you think counts as "living" friends give us a purpose in life, and animals (that includes humans) need a purpose/niche in life in order to live healthy. thats a actual fact, if a animal does not have a purpose/niche to fill it will become mentally unstable. Friends help us feel like we belong and we are needed (aka have a purpose). if you can find a replacement purpose then i guess maybe you dont need friends to live. however i believe friends are a crucial part in keeping your sanity. and just all around having a happy purposeful life. I hope this helps answer your question.
