I had just gotten off of work and was driving home
I had just woke up and saw in from my apartment.
sleeping.. in a crib .. far far away from it all
i was in the hospital
got my tonsils removed
school learning about something
Sitting on the GW...horrified.
I was in the office at work,by coincidence, and saw the special report on TV.
in new jersey being a 3 and a half year old baby
I was at work and heard it on the radio. At first I thought it was a horrible prank the radio djs were doing, but found out quickly it wasn't. It truly was a devastating moment.
I was already in Afghanistan when i found out. I was furious and full anger and hate and me everyone from my unit were ready to fight. Thats me in 2002 in Afghanistan in my pic i was a field sniper.
Field sniper... Nice!
We were part of incident Camand for Search and Rescue..
I was 5. I didn't really even think of it as hugely important at the time. I just remember seeing it on the news and seeing my dad upset.
Sitting on the couch, safely in Canada, watching it happen live on tv.
i was one year old, so i dont know really...
At work, office manager found a little black n white TV she found in the storage closet we all watched horrified as the second plane hit
I was at work. Someone came to the room where i was and said the news had reported a plane crashed into the World Trade Center and that it might be terrorism. I was like 'yeah..right'. But a little bit later i went to the break room where there was a small TV and actually watched the second plane hit. We were all crying. I had to go back to work but kept going to the break room when i could so i watched the towers collapse too.
I was at work (Hospital Security) and one of my co-workers came to me and told me "I have to go, a plane crashed into one of the WTC building and my mother cannot get in touch with my father". I looked at him strangely and I told him go. Several minutes later my boss called me to his office and pointed towards the tv and told me look a plane just hit one of the towers. While in his office as we were looking I saw the second plane hit and I remember the look on the faces of the Director of HR, a VP and my boss. That night I got out of work at 2am and we were back in the hospital at 6:30sm because our administrator wanted extra security personnel on site. We worked 16hrs shifts for the next 5 weeks until the smoke things began to settle.
Drinking my coffee, watching the morning news. Then watching the plane fly into the 2nd tower.tgen lithe everyone else, life changed in an instant.
crying...my dad was in New York City, it was his birthday, he had to take a truck load of supplies up to New York City. When my mom saw what had happened, she called my father...no answer... So she tried again...still no answer...we were both balling til about 7 PM when we finally got a call...It was my father saying he was okay, he couldn't get any service because the reception was down from all te smoke and debris throuughout the city, he said he loved us and not to worry. When he got home he told us about how he heard a crash and he got out of his truck to see a fire and smoke coming from one of the towers, as he watched in horror. He wittnessed the second plane go straight into the other tower. The rest of the story is in the comments.
My thoughts and prayers go to all the lives lost on September 11th, 2001. Thank you to the many heroes that risked their lives that day.
I was in elementary school, I remember our principal turning on the TV in our classroom. We just stood there shocked. Then one of my friends started crying uncontrollably because her dad was In New York. Turns out his flight was cancelled and he came to the school a happy moment in tragedy.
watching
cartoons with my mom and the news interrupted and showed the planes crashing into the towers
