I was in Kindergarten, and at the time it was play time. I remember school being canceled and there was a lot of commotion going on, and some of my teachers were crying, but thats all I remember.

I have issue's. We were part of a film crew that was in town. I was driving an entertainer Bus and it was used for a forward comand center. I saw things that would freak most out. I am trying to move forward. For a long time I was ashamed to say I was there. To see and smell what was left after, and for me to live when so many died. To sit back and watch and have no power to help. That was the hard part. To watch crews going. To watch ones jumping out and the crews trying to reach them. It was a sad day. It still is.

I was 5. I didn't really even think of it as hugely important at the time. I just remember seeing it on the news and seeing my dad upset.

I was at work. Someone came to the room where i was and said the news had reported a plane crashed into the World Trade Center and that it might be terrorism. I was like 'yeah..right'. But a little bit later i went to the break room where there was a small TV and actually watched the second plane hit. We were all crying. I had to go back to work but kept going to the break room when i could so i watched the towers collapse too.

I was at work (Hospital Security) and one of my co-workers came to me and told me "I have to go, a plane crashed into one of the WTC building and my mother cannot get in touch with my father". I looked at him strangely and I told him go. Several minutes later my boss called me to his office and pointed towards the tv and told me look a plane just hit one of the towers. While in his office as we were looking I saw the second plane hit and I remember the look on the faces of the Director of HR, a VP and my boss. That night I got out of work at 2am and we were back in the hospital at 6:30sm because our administrator wanted extra security personnel on site. We worked 16hrs shifts for the next 5 weeks until the smoke things began to settle.

crying...my dad was in New York City, it was his birthday, he had to take a truck load of supplies up to New York City. When my mom saw what had happened, she called my father...no answer... So she tried again...still no answer...we were both balling til about 7 PM when we finally got a call...It was my father saying he was okay, he couldn't get any service because the reception was down from all te smoke and debris throuughout the city, he said he loved us and not to worry. When he got home he told us about how he heard a crash and he got out of his truck to see a fire and smoke coming from one of the towers, as he watched in horror. He wittnessed the second plane go straight into the other tower. The rest of the story is in the comments.

A few minutes later, he felt the ground shaking, like an earthquake, so he ran to his truck and sat in it, he was on the other side of the lake, when he looked one of the towers were no where to be found, but tons of smoke filled the streets, he sat in his truck in shock of what he had just experinced, then the other fell. To this day, my dad still hates to talk about that day, he doesn't like to tell people when his birthday is because it justs reminds him of that day. I love my father and I'm so grateful to still have him around. I was 4 when this happened... I can't imagine my life withouut my father. I love you daddy.

My thoughts and prayers go to all the lives lost on September 11th, 2001. Thank you to the many heroes that risked their lives that day.

I was in elementary school, I remember our principal turning on the TV in our classroom. We just stood there shocked. Then one of my friends started crying uncontrollably because her dad was In New York. Turns out his flight was cancelled and he came to the school a happy moment in tragedy.
