How does a "Mock Trial" club sound?
Me and my friends are trying to form our own club for school and we are thinking about doing a "Mock Trial club." This would be a club that has fake court trials with fake court cases that the club would act out, and would help teach people of how a trial actually works, and what goes on. Members of the club would get to play the part of the judge, prosecutor, jury, defense attorney, ect. and with each new 'trial' people would get assigned a new part, helping them learn what each person(s) do and what role they play in a court case. We even have an idea of getting our high school's police officers to appear in one or more of our mock trials, so it would give people that extra experience of what goes on, and maybe have them as a guest speaker. This would be an almost completely student-ran club, and we already have a teacher who would be willing to be our adviser. What do you think about this club idea, good, bad, fantastic, horrible?? Do you think it would be a club that a principal would approve of and students would join?
