Many of you have heard about my kitten Jake. For those of you who haven't, she has cerebellar hypoplasia.
This means that she is very uncoordinated, so she will always be a house cat. Since she developed CH, she has scratched herself several times near her eyes when she forgets to sheath her claws prior to washing. What I want to know is if declawing is very painful, and your opinions on whether it would be kinder to declaw her or take the chance on her seriously injuring one of her eyes. Please be kind... Jake is NOT going to be put down.
