What happens when hamsters eat meat?

the reason why i ask is that my neice fed her hamster a peice of hotdog is it harmful for them..?

It's ok, because hamsters are omnivores. Don't let her give it a hot dog piece again though, because it is so processed and unhealthy. Cooked chicken is fine :)

Hamster don't normally eat meat. I wouldn't feed it anymore meat.

Um.. I suggest not feeding it meat. If it eats too much meat and you feed your hamster meat o a daily basis, it can overweigh it and make its heart fatty.
