Im 17 and I have Achilles tendonitis. What can I do to not be in so much pain?

I love playing basketball. but because of the tendonitis I'm unable to play for my school. It doesn't hurt on a day to day basis. It really begins to bother me when I engage in physical activity. Even a light jog can leave me in pain. Is there anything I can do?

To reduce the pain caused by Achilles tendonitis, you need to use ice on the affected area. Second you could use heel lifts in your shoes, this will help to support your heel better and take the stress of the affected areas.
