It's the natural progression of advanced society. As civilizations become more educated the less they turn to the supernatural for answers. The US is actually one of the more religious nations in the industrialized world, but even we are becoming less and less each generation, around 5% more claim none or not practicing. At this rate the US will be mostly secular by the end of this century.
Do you go to a secular school? Each generation is getting worse when it comes to God. Families don't spend time together or go to church together, let alone read the bible or pray together. The next generation hardy knows anything about God, then the next generation just doesn't care. And, they don't want to be accountable. I think it's only less than 5% of people in the U.S. that go to church.
The spirit clearly says that in the latter times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. They will turn their ears away form the truth and turn aside to myths
Because of my friends at ask.com and many other sites working hard to stamp out the plague beetle that is religiousness. We are becoming enlightened and many of us are willing to drive the point all the way home until god leaves for good.
