No, a kid at 6 years old is too young for a real phone. He can lose it, or dial random numbers talking to complete strangers. I received my phone when I was 13 years old. He can wait until he is at an appropriate age of being able to go to places on his own or with friends.
not unless you want him to be an antisocial brat who only cares about his phone and has no respect for anyone... not say that, that will happen because of the phone necessarily and with sole blame but lately that is how most kids are. also he might give the number out to some creep
hellllllllllll no kids these days are becoming tooo reliant on technology when i grew up all i had to play with was outside he shouldn't b on his phone ruining his childhood i know i probably sound really old saying this but i was born in 1998 btw
No! Even people that get phones when they are teenagers become mindless. wait until he is older and tell him only if he does good in school, that way you know he did some learning. It drives me crazy when people are electronically consumed. Grown people these days wont put down a phone for 2 seconds. My child will not have a phone until they are in highschool. What does a six year old need a phone for anyways? It will only teach him how to 'text talk' and keep secrets & start drama
NO WAY! I wouldn't trust a 6 year old. There's no way to put parental controls on your own phone, therefore your kid could see content you wouldn't want him seeing and he can text/call people you don't want him texting. Don't get him a phone
if you feel your son really NEEDS one, then i guess, but if it is just because he thinks they r cool or something then no. there isn't a real necessity for a SIX YEAR OLD to have a phone. Although it would probably be nice if you let him go to sleepovers and friends houses and stuff because then you could call in and check on him or he could call you if he wants to go home etc. Wow i am completely contradicting myself...
