What's the proper way to appeal to a website that boots you off without telling you why?

I was on a site a while ago that I WANTED to be on, and they booted me off without telling me why. I went to log in and they said I wasn't allowed to visit the forum. I can post a message to them on the site help section of their site without logging in.The first most sensible thing to do is to apologize if I offended anyone there. I was doing my best not to offend anyone there or to cause trouble. Some people there claimed I was trolling. All I was doing asking questions and trying to do research. I want to know what I was doing wrong, esp. when there were real troublemakers there trying to give me a hard time. How can I appeal to them in the message I am going to post to them on their site and persuade them to let me back on their site? Please help. Thank you.

It would look polite to write to them and express your worries. It is also good to read the website instructions and duly follow them. The website moderators have the right to block you out of participation if you don't match their regulations.
