Can anybody answer this Social Studies question?

Most slaves were captured in the African interior and then sold to traders
along the ____________________ coast.

This is my homework, so I understand if you would want me to figure it out, but I forgot to bring my book home so please answer! its in America and the 1700s.

the question implies they are referring to the 'ivory coast' of africa...

Yeah, the question didn't specify which continent. It would be west coast of Africa but south coast of North America.

Some slaves came into America via the east coast but that wasn't the primary area of slave trade. It was primarily via the Caribbean and up the Mississippi River.
