Getting your ears pierced hurts for a few minutes, then it calms down. I would relate it to a bee sting. Your ears may bother you more at night, while you are sleeping. Try not to sleep on your side. No pain, no gain! I am talking about earlobes, the higher up on the ear you go, the more it hurts.
You're getting a hole punched all the way through your earlobe/cartilage, obviously it hurts unless you numb it. It hurts more if you get it done by having the peircer put a hollow needle through it instead of using a peircing gun.
It hurts for a few seconds or minutes, after you do it, get a spray that helps your ears, to heal but not close up. Don't take your earring out until 6 weeks. And also if you do take them out if you leave them out for like 1 hour it will start to close reason why you have to wait six months
