You've got to love the attitudes on here, they think that they're all that. The public education system in the US is embarrassing at best. The difference is the curriculum focuses on those things that are important in society today, not what the government decides. In Public school, they have no child left behind aka as going slow enough to drag the entire class down. Instead of our kids wanting to do more & do better, it's easier to say they think that they're all that. The reason they think that way is because you'll be parking their cars at the restaurant. So hurl insults, it doesn't pay the bills but when that's all you have, oh well
I attend a private school. I really appreciate the individual education opportunities and learning experiences. I also like that there are less people so I can get to know everyone. I am also a Christian and it is great to be able to learn around what God teaches.
Private schools are not always better. You have your ups and downs to both private and public schools. I taught in a private school for many years and both of my children attended it. Although they were taught many things in advance of public schooling, and had the one on one attention and help much more than public, there was much pressure to become that specific religion. I don't think kids in a private school think they are "all that" as was mentioned earlier. SOME of the kids do NOT even want to be there, believe me. Some kids are PUT there by their parents because of difficult situations in public schools. (i.e. bullies, behavioral problems, etc.)
