Everywhere you go you will find people like that. I honestly don't think there is an exact answer to this. I constantly have to remind myself to never judge a book by its cover but sometimes I forget. But no matter what I assume they are like, I treat everyone with kindness. People blame things like this on society, but what people don't understand is that WE are society.
Judgmental is an instinctive action, we all do it but smart people keep it to themselves. Materialistic is a matter of conditioning, after we began living in organized settlements we began the evolution of the haves and have-nots.
I phones, i pods, and money. Kids these days put on a mask to hide their true emotions because feelings are "Lame" Don't be like that. Get outside, drop the computer, and let your emotions shine through!
because they don't realize the "inner worth" in things or people I would have never thought that i would have a atheist friend(im christian) :) and people are materialistic because they HAVE to just to get by, better yet be a "somebody"
Regretfully i think it's a society. We work jobs we don't like to pay for things we don't need to impress people we often don't even like. this is middle America's mind set and it breeds judgement and materialism.
We are constantly bombarded by advertising, even if it's not through the TV or radio, all we need to do is see the symbols and that's advertising....so we are sort of "brainwashed" into wanting and desiring products....I however take into account how actually useful things are and how much I'll use them before actually buying things, I consider myself to be pretty minimalistic. As for the judging people, well, if people would follow the golden rule then there wouldn't be any judging.....8)
