Hi CeeJay!!! Get a Time Management Diary and plan each day to have a balance of your priorities. Your life is more complex than I could cope with, but you are younger and more hungry than I am. Simplify and prioritize!!!! As always, Amazon has fifty or so books waiting for you explaining how the rich and famous manage their time - and on a miniature scale: you can get several useful apps for your cell phone that allow you to plan your work/play schedules up to a month in advance.
Schedule and stick to it. Some people, specially in the military, carry around a notebook and pen which they pull out whenever they need to take notes (in some units, this is part of a uniform inspection). It is not humanly possible to accurately maintain a list of items in your head, specially in a specific order. So you write it down, you prioritize, often you just wait till everyone is in bed and stay up till 3 or 4 am doing work - which is what I do. That's life.
Work when you need to and get home in time for dinner. O and don’t bring too much work home with you the home is meant to be a place of refuge and peace not stressful work so keep tacking home work to a minimum like once a week and only work on it for at most two hours.good luck!
I've always had a terrible work ethic. Just going to work is such a burden. But then I realized, a couple months ago, how lucky I am to even have a job. Then I began to organize my work routine so that I could actually just focus on it, one piece at a time. Since then I just do it. I find that the more eager I am to work and get it done the more I can enjoy the play time that follows.

LOL. You just tell your work to F off. Odds are always in your favor that they are not going to fire you. Seriously - play the game just like they are. The core philosophy of business is to make money or it's not a business. Employees are part of that equation. They may offer you perks and benefits and work-life balance and all that jazz.. but at the end of the day, if they are not making money - they are NOT going to care. Take care of you. If you need a break, you take a break. Maintain your professional ethics and respects in the office and you'll be just fine!
I think a lot of it depends on what you do for work and maybe even what shift you work. If you live in a 24/7 city like I do, working different shifts can wreak havoc on your personal life and limit the time for leisurely activities. Some jobs are very hard on your brain or body or both. I think its important to schedule in "fun time" whenever and as frequently as possible, even if its only on the weekend.
Well I think you should make a promise to yourself saying that you will not play around until your work is done. And maybe you can try to make work fun. For example you could listen to music and dance as you work. That is always a fun thing to do. You could also make a game out of your work. Like if you're picking up a mess you can time yourself to see how fast you can get everything spotless. And finally my favorite, you can talk to your guardian angel as you work to pass the time.
