Is there any way i can drop out of school at age 15?

im just plain sick of school.
im sick of waking up at six a'clock in the morning. im sick of teachers yelling at me because i forgot a pencil. im sick of being bullied. (btw, teachers dont give a shit) every year of school, i get depressed. iv'e tried home schooling, but thats even worst. can't afford private school. im never gonna get good enough grades no matter how hard i try. and yes i know the consequences of dropping out, and i dont care. id rather be homeless then have to go to school, and yes i have thought about this. ive been thinking about this for two years now. youth shouldent be like prison.

So instead of having the responsibility to bring a pencil to school; you'd wear dirty clothes, sleep in the cold, and go hungry for the rest of your life? Waking up early and remembering to bring your pencil. Hahahaha. Billions of kids literally die without having the chance that you have and you're going to complain about waking up early to go to school. You should know how fortunate you are. There will be numerous times where you will get bullied at any part of your life. By people above you, by stupid people, and by people who make use of your stupidity. But what matters is how you stick up for yourself and let their words fall on deaf ears because you have better things to do. Toughen up and be responsible for yourself. Being bullied at school is nothing compared to being whipped, locked up in cell, starved, forced to do heavy labor, forced to watch your friends and parents be publicly executed, tortured, and basically enslaved like some of the kids your age in North Korea.

Hey, migram64...everyone goes through a rough time now and again. Sometimes people need to vent a bit when they feel on the verge of giving up, or when angry. Let's not ridicule, alright? Doesn't build anyone up, only tears people down, and can make things worse. Yeah, true, maybe they don't understand right now just how fortunate they are compared to others. That's still no way to talk, no matter what the case. We should try to be encouraging and helping, not angering, etc. :)

Everyone deals with this, it's only natural. Make the best of it and trust me, it will get better. Don't waste your childhood brooding on the bad. Have fun, stay out of trouble, do your best. Things will improve. Don't throw away the only life you have

Wow kid...you need to man up. You think this time in your life is hard!? You have a rude awakening coming. Life is rough...deal with it. There are kids in this world who would literally kill to have your life. You kids today are so spoiled! You're being bullied?...stand up for yourself! Not making good grades?...work harder! Tired of waking up at the crack of six?...go to sleep earlier! You better grow up real quick. If not...have fun digging out of trash cans for food. Or if you do get a job, remember...I like fries with my burger.

Look buddy it may seem hard now, but seriously.. not going to school and then getting your GED is thee worst possible thing to do nowadays. No employer wants a highschool drop-out. Just try hard, keep pushing, and when you graduate and those d**kheads dont that bullied you, then you can laugh in their face as you drive away in an expensive car that you just bought because you have a well paying career because you pushed through school :)

I think I agree with every person above....Everybody feels that way....you just have to learn to ignore all the bullies and teachers. Try to stay out of trouble and it will get better. Once you do that, you should feel alot better....good luck:)

Hey, keep your chin up! Try to stay positive! I know it's easier said than done, but you've gotta try! In the long run, you will be thankful you stayed in school. You've only got, what, 2-3 years left anyway? Everyone goes through what you're dealing with, to one extent or another. I wanted to drop out at one point too, but now I'm glad I stuck it out. There's a light at the end of this tunnel. :) Keep looking for it and don't give up! Praying for you! :)

You can, but it is not recommended that you do. In order for you not to feel how you feel you should do a list of the problems that you have or do that intervene with your grades. Exercising would definitely help you out with the amount of energy that you require. It helps you be more productive in school, especially with focus. It'll help you with your mood. Plus Exercising will improve your self-esteem, and will give you the strength and will to stand up to your bullies.

I am going to talk to you like an adult, and tell you exact truths, I think that you have an attitude about school to make you more apt to fail. Ask yourself how important you think school is? What will you do if you are turned down EVERY JOB in your future, because even a TRASH MAN needs to read and DRIVE. At 15, you didn't take drivers education. Dropping out is failing, and I think that your family is one of the two: 1) Fighting to keep you in school, and your issues are effecting them tremendously, or 2) very relaxed and don't care ... You state "I would rather be homeless" maybe because they threatened you being kicked out? living on the street will make you result to begging and drugs to stay alive. That is acceptable, Right? You haven't experienced the good of life yet. Your teenage years are your friends, family, and teachers LAST CHANCE to get you to understand RESPONSIBILITY.

This is only a simple word that if you understand it, and live by it, there will be NO more problems in your future. Bills to pay become easy when you have responsibility, owning a home, and having pets, children, and a spouse all takes that one word. Your teachers telling you to come to school for 6 years now, with a pencil. But you haven't learned yet. I think there is a bigger issue and you should talk to someone. A death of a friend, family member? A disrespectful man putting you in a bad situation? Talk to someone before you think to end a FREE education, that puts every person in the US ahead of you in ANY and EVERY opportunity. What do you want to REALLY do in LIFE? Travel, rescue animals, construction, banking, art, Public service, ie police, nurse, firefighter, space exploration, politics, conservation, Military? What....How will people judge you in this decision? Do you understand why? They want you to succeed! Every parent wants their BABY to GROW UP and BE HAPPY... Where do you live? Check out your local Homeless shelter, and College campus and see what is a better location? I promise we all woke up at 6am, and had problems in school some way, but everyone didn't drop out. Are you pregnant? Those girls go back and get a GED, and that is SOOO much harder. There is NO in school explanation for the subject matter, so YOU have to work harder.

I hope you will read this, if you can, over and over, getting some of the questions answered, and if you want more help from me, I would be happy to help you. I don't know you, but I believe in your chance to succeed. It is not only school we are talking about, it is really a lifestyle change in attitude I think is the real problem. Comment back to let me know what you think... I wish you the best! Karen P. in Charles Town, WV

It seems to me that you're ready to be another lazy, homeless bum in society with no education who will depend on government assistant (because the job you get at Burger King cleaning tables because you wont be smart enough to flip burgers) wont pay you enough to have an apartment and when you get sick my tax money will pay for your charity care in a hospital and you will be a disgusting 80 year old man with no life. Make sure you wipe my table clean before I sit down to eat.

Maybe you need to be homeless to understand what you are saying. Try having no food for three days and your stomach hurts so bad you can't even move. I dropped out of school at 16. Not because l was bad at it. Because l had a baby. There are no guarantees in life, but getting an education will up your chances. Look into online school if you need to. Some states have that but l think you would need to wait until next years open enrollment.
