Yes i've read it. Ellie is taken to a concentration camp by train. He and his father are separated from his mother and sister who are most likely killed in the furnace. He undergoes much torture and starvation for a while before his father dies toward the end of the book. The Americans bomb the camp that he is in and he takes small satisfaction in the fact that the bombs kill some ot the Nazis. Though he is disappointed in the fact that he survives the bombing. At the end of the story he is rescued and fed food but looks into a mirror and sees himself as so scrawny that he looks like a skeleton.
