I'm 14 and I think I have leukemia but I'm afraid to talk to my mom about it. What do I say?

I was looking at the types of cancer there were and I looked at leukemia because I want to be an oncologist when I'm older. I was looking at the symptoms and realized I had all of them except for 1. I don't know what I'm supposed to say to my mom because I don't know how she'll react. So can someone please help? It'd be greatly appreciated!

Just tell her what you said here ... and that, to ease your mind, you'd like a doctor to check and make sure.

Oh, the problems with the internet and self-diagnosis. I'm sure that you DO NOT have leukemia. If you're that worried, tell your mom because on the outside chance you do have it, you need medical attention. Tell your mom and go to a doctor or die. Your choice.

First off relax. Leukemia has the same symptoms as many other things such as anemia and mono. Just tell your mom you aren't feeling well and would like to see the doctor.

That's the Medical Book syndrome. You read the definition or symptoms of a medical physical/mental condition and you think it applies to you. It is self deception like a Zodiac sign. I' don't know you but I bet $1,000 to your 50 cents you don't have it.

i feel the same way, ever since my dad died of cancer i have been researching leukemia in children because it is most common, i didn't know how to tell my mom but when i did she took me to the doctors, i was diagnosed with acute lymplastic leukimea, i was heart broken but i learnt that whatever your afraid of it is always best to tell your mum.I am stopping treatment as it wasnt helping and I will be dead within the week. Tell your mum everything, cos you dont want to be in the position i am in now
